SPACE Developments was formed in 1997 as a bespoke developer specialising in contemporary residential developments in cities and suburbs. The company has seen steady growth in the last nine years tackling new build projects as well as the sympathetic conversion and restoration of some fine listed buildings.

Headed by Managing Director Eoin O’Donnell, the 25-strong team have several projects planned for 2007 in Liverpool, Manchester and beyond.

 

Eoin O’Donnell: “Space Developments has had great success creating bespoke contemporary apartments designed for modern living in the North West. Historically we have focused on projects in Liverpool and Manchester and we will continue to carry out developments in those cities. However, 2007 will see us explore opportunities in other urban centres throughout the region. We see no reason why our success in the two major cities can not be replicated elsewhere in the region. All urban centres have a demand for well designed modern apartment schemes and we intend to satisfy that demand wherever possible.”

Acquired by it’s parent company in 2002, SPACE Developments is part of the McInerney Group, the UK subsidiary of the successful international development company McInerney Holdings plc, Ireland’s largest home builder.

Other regional operating companies of the McInerney Group companies in the UK include: McInerney Homes North West, McInerney Homes North, McInerney Homes Yorkshire, McInerney Homes North East and McInerney Homes West Midlands, with Hargreaves adding a unique contracting and development capability to its UK offering.

Through a series of strategic acquisitions, an impressive growth strategy has been implemented across the North of England with a focus on deepening the McInerney Group's market penetration. The most recent acquistion is of Augusta Developments, based in Milton Keynes and operating in Northampton, Wellingborough, Oxford, Milton Keynes, Bedford and Luton. Its activities are focused on the Registered Social Landlord ('RSL') market providing affordable homes.
